Pilates Method
The Pilates Method is based on the eight principles of concentration, centering, breathing, control, precision, flowing movement, isolation and routine. It's designed to strengthen and tone core muscles, abdominals and buttocks, and the lower back without building bulk, resulting in long muscles.
Pilates strengthens pelvic floor muscles and improves incontinence and is highly beneficial for pre- and post pregnancy.

Increase overall body strength, endurance, balance and coordination.
Correct muscular imbalance, like tight hamstrings, overloaded quads, in addition help relief low back problem, improve breathing capacity, help rehabilitative sport injuries, invigorates mind, restores physical vitality, elevates the spirit. Stress relief is the major result of achieving all of those goals.

 

 

Special Exercise I Use For My Physiotherapy Treatment
Before any exercises I use backblock to decompress the spine, which is the same as pulling the segments apart, in the cornerstone of all the spinal treatments. I follow a few fundamental exercises aimed at achieving three specific goals:

1. Relaxing the over-protective hold of the long muscles running down either side of the spine

2. Strengthening the abdominal muscles so tummy and back muscles make a strong flexible torso to support the spine.

3. Re-educating the small muscles that control each verterbra of the spine so the bending forward is made secure.
